    [IMG] I started HoW and was in the Lonelywood first time. When I did most of the things and decided to venture into World Map for the Barbarian camp; the world map was blacked out; it was entirely black and dark. Needless to say this was a bug and I was very annoyed as I had no chance to continue my game.

    I uninstalled AB mod. Entered the game, this time map was allright but this caused more strange bugs as my aprty had a lot of AB only items and spells.

    So I quitted again and re-installed AB, loaded my game.

    This time map was normal, eevrything was fine and I continued this wonderful game in excitement! It was soo fun!

    Do you know the cause of this bug? have you experienced it beofre? Is it due to AB like I suspected? Did I do the right thing? Will I experience a similar problem in the future? Am I asking too many questions?

    Thanks for the enlightening answer, at least it was an answer, yes.

    Never played with any mods before, but sounds like it could be the problem. When the world map was black, could you still click on places? Did you try to go back to a previously saved game? I would try to do as much searching as possible (on google) about this mod and any bugs associated with it. Keep us up-to-date.

    Aah, nevermind Silver. I admit that was a stupid joke but I was very tired at the time. I had already send that before I got second thought...

    Sorry.

    I believe it's due AB, I've never heard such a bug before.

    Hmm. I had this problem once, and I think the cause was forgetting to disable direct draw, as doing it brought the map back. You know, I usually disable direct draw always as the game just runs too slowly on my laptop without doing it.

    Disabling direct draw might help if you encounter the map blackening again. Or then not. :p If you don't know how to disable direct draw, see Icewind Dale II section and the slow game topic.

    @Anjo

    No problem, you actually did revive my topic and it was funny to boot! :p

    @Tanthie

    Did you have AB mod when this happened to you too? I never change anything in configuration, but when I unisntalled and re-installed the mod the bug was miraculously gone! Am I lucky? (I will accept short answers like: yes. :shake: )
