Why that particular religion?

Yay! You can be the first follower in my non-religious cult. And because you're the first, I'm going to use your wording to name the group: "Church Of Relative Apathy" (or Cora for short) :D

Please send me all your money immediately.

    @Splunge

    quote:
"Personally, I accept the possibility of a greater power, but I reject the idea of a God who watches over us and who we are supposed to worship"

Exactly! The point in agnosticism is this:
I believe in a superior force (not being!) in this universe (or maybe multiverse?) but I do NOT call it God, Allah, Buddha, Satan... or whatever). I don't know what it is, I don't want to know what it is, thus I don't care what it is!

That last sentance was my cruel oppinion regarding my life alone.

Ow...and one more thing: The fact that you BELIEVE in something DOES NOT mean that you have faith in it. Believing is but a fancy word for the acceptance of a thing or object.

You dont have to believe that there is a being for you to be an agnostic. You might as believe that there is none but not reject the possibility outright as atheists do.

I reject outright any religion known to man but I do not reject the possibility of somekind of superentity even if I deem it unlikely.

Splunge put it more or less as I view the world and as I have posted here before.

That's a post that makes a lot more sense that the other ones.... but still you keep repeating this strange nonsense of a sentance:

"I am an atheist or agnostic"

Is it me that does not understand this sentance or is it you that does not understand the way the "or" in your sentance is perceived by the readers? Please try and explain what you perceive in a sentance when you see the "or". Do you mean that:

    1) The two mean the same thing
    2) You are eighter an agnostic or an atheist (only one of the two)

If you ment "2)" then please try and make it a bit more clear to the readers of what you are trying to say (i.e. the sentance that I wrote in my second sentance: "You are eighter an agnostic or an atheist")

I guess I did take you a bit to harsh when I first posted in this thread... :)

    Peace, man!
