[IMG] Mine for certain is Drizzt Do'Urden.
He wears mythril chain mail armour +4 which i love.
He wields Two scimitars (Twinkle and KingDeath)..and in my opinion (having tried and tested both these weapons) alot of his offensive power is down to these.
Their weapon names are Defender+5 (enchanted by Elminster)
    And a Frostband+3
    Each are equal in power...

    So whats yours? :D

  2. Piergieron Paladinson, open lord of Waterdeep.

    But, this isn't really a BG2 topic.

Why it's Szass Tam of course
    Zulkir of Necromancy (Necro lvl29)

But then again i don't like faerun one bit :p

PS: yeah it's spelled Faerun :p

  4. I simply despise all the exceedingly overpowered NPCs, especially in FR, e.g. Drizzt and Elminster.

I know what you mean. Like in BG1, your party of normal people is desperitley fighting an entire Bandit army by themselves while Drizzt is in the area. You see Drizzt fight and you think "what the hell am i doing here!?" Drizzt could easily wipe out the entire lot of them in a flash...

[IMG] Hm, strange idea. If you think about BG as a game in which you kill stuff and your goal is to be better in killing stuff - of course, Drizzt could do it better, and Elminster could do it even better than Drizzt. Since BG is a roleplaying game, Drizzt may have his own affairs to deal with, not some petty bandits on the way of some petty adventurer.

Overpowered? BG-wise, it's plainly mean to call a 16th level character (Drizzt) overpowered, especially considering the number of adventures and perils that one character has been in.
Elminster? And why despise Elminster? No sane DM would ever offer PCs to fight El and no BG game has presented such opportunity. Of course, you'll never be as powerful as him in any BG game, heh...

i agree with you Skedaddle but, may i add that you can easily surpass Drizzt and Elminster in BG2 using XP cap remover. But, if you mean without cheating then your dead right.
Oh and flame me if i'm wrong ;)

    Flaming, as per request:
You cannot beat Elminster even if you cheat, he is immortal. You can beat Drizzt without cheating at appropriate level and time.
Flame me if I'm wrong, but better not. :)

I have no idea if this is true but, on the BIS forum some people were talking about how they'd killed him in BG1. I don't know how but they said they'd done it... course they are probably lying. :)

  10. Nono, you can....I read it somewhere. You summon heaps of Animated Skeletons and get them to force attack Drizzt whilest surrending him with those skeletons. Then get a cola and sit and watch the skeletons. Drizzt will try to come for you and not attack the skeletons.....

And even WITH the cap remover I still can't beat Drizzt and his Merry Gang.

    ELMINISTER of course!
Drizzt is cool, and not as hard to kill as as many of you think, although, right, it is not that easy.
Elminister might be overpowered, but he is the one to turn to when knowledge is needed, the villans get too powerful, or you want someone whom can be as sarcastic etc as he wants with no real consquences.
    I like powerful characters anyway.
