    :D Gotta love Julius Caesar.

Whatever is in any way beautiful hath its source of beauty in itself, and is complete in itself; praise forms no part of it. So it is none the worse nor the better for being praised.

*twitch* DS, it is Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, but in the common vernacular he's Marcus Aurelius.

Mark Antony is about 2 centuries earlier. :p Antony was killed/comitted suicide after the Battle of Actium in 31 B.C.E. Marcus Aurelius came into power as imperator in 161 C.E. and held that position until his death in 180.

... Sorry, my Classics geek is showing. /geek

    You're up, DS.

That's ok I've learnt something now (wonders why he thought it was Richard Burton and not Richard Harris) you can educate me on BCE and CE since I know only BC and AD and I don't like those definitions.

    Anyway

    Gottfried Liebniz.

BCE means "Before Common Era" and CE means "Common Era". They refer to the same time period as BC and AD, but they're used because it's more "politically correct" to use them instead of the religious terminology of "Before Christ" and "Anno Domini".

Yes you're right it is Liebniz.

I wish I hadn't asked, it always seems to me that "PC" is in itself demeaning, confusing and belittling and offensive, proves the old adage if ain't broke don't fix it; but that's for another forem and a different day.

Come post your query in the sticking place and we'll not fail, milady

It was also coined for people who aren't Christian, but meh.
