The Silent Blade, book 1 of Paths of Darkness by Salvatore. It's superb -- can NOT put the thing down! (May be his best yet!)

I will forever say that Homeland is Salvey's best Drizzt book....

I was just like....wow...at how much detail he put into the Drow Culture....

And remember...A dagger to the back quite naturally ends one's life!

Fred Saberhagen's God of the Golden Fleece. I am about 40% done and so far it has been dreadfully dull and boring.

Really has to be said, a book called "God of the Golden Fleece" doesn't sound like a thrill-a-minute read. :)

I just finished "Gates of Fire". The best book I've ever read. Even better than Silmarillion or any Drizzt book.

I'll soon finish "Dragons of Autumn Twilight" and I'll start the next one.

RotKU, are you sure you don't mean Artemis Fowl instead of "Atimus Foul", or is it some kind of parody?

Anyways, I am on my read, re-read and read again binge concerning the third Artemis Fowl book, the Eternity Code. Also, I am thinking of getting the Unfinished Tales as soon as I can... the problem? Not a single English copy can be found. :( I would have to read a treanslation.

Also, I have been re-reading other Tolkien stuff, like always...

Just started reading the Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobb. Haven't decided whether they are better than the Assassin books yet although I think they are heading that way.

I finished Elvenstar, second book of the death gate cycle, a while ago but hadn't the time to post (vacation, whooohooo)

In fact I'm now reading and almost finished the third book in the series, Fire Sea.

You can guess which book I'm going to read after this

I finally started reading Salvatore's The Woods Out Back from Spearwielder's Tale. It is interesting to read some Salvatore's non-FR stuff.

After that I'm going to read first book of Wheel of Time or second Artemis Fowl book.

The Wheel of Time. Yes. All of them. Started reading Crossroads of Twilight and discovered having completed up to book ten three years ago I hadn't a clue what the hell was going on. More than likely I'll stop after book three along with excitement the series once had. Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver should be out by then. :)

Salvatore's best is definitely Servant of the Shard, but his best Drizzt book can be The Thousand Orcs or Homeland.
I'm currently finishing The Patriot Games and I'll start Elaine Cunningham's Starlight and Shadows stuff.

Hardwired - bloody good and suggestive cyberpunk novel by Walter Jon Williams. Very deep vision of what the future can be like. Not an optimistic one however.

I'm reading some classical stuff like Ivanhoe and Great Expectations. I bought The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan a few days ago(I'm half way through it; pretty good book) and I'm going to get the new Harry Potter book(Don't laugh).

As you can see a lot of reading material to tackle this summer(especially if I plan to see the whole Wheel of Time series through) but I'm game.

Me too, Erebus. It was delivered today in the middle of my son's birthday party, and I literally skipped across the room to claim the package!
