_Alexander Hamilton_ by Ron Chernow. Really excellent - pro Hamilton (without quite turning into hero worship), great depth and detail. As a companion book, I'm reading along with it _The Essential Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers_ Ed. David Wooton. I wanted even more depth on the Constitutional debate and its crafting.

The 'Dune' series of books. Just finished 'Dune' and 'Messiah' and now I'm starting on 'Children of Dune'. I can't believe I never read these before. They're brilliant!

Prepare for a disapointment Elvenblade, I thought Jordan had hit rockbottom and things would improve after the rather good ending of "Winter's Heart" but CoT is empty, not a damn thing happens in the entire book.

I am reading Salvatore's Cleric quintet here and after the first few chapters it seems like good ole Bob but with a hero not nearly as interesting as the rather dull Drizzt. Hopefully it will be good entertainment anyway.

Ive just finished "In your Dreams" by Tom Holt, was the sequel to "Portable Door"... both very surreal books about wizards and sorcery.

Highly recommended, though they are the only two Tom Holt books about wizardry etc, so buy only those two.
