    Earth Abides by George R Stewart - almost finished it and it's excellent. After that last hunk of crap I read (which had a million typos and notes such as 'delete this paragraph' in the text...) it's a very refreshing change :) Restores my confidence in randomly picking books.

    I finished Deadhouse Gates over the week-end. IMHO Erikson showed a huge improvement in his writing as the book went on. I am actually looking forward to reading book three.

    However, that is going to wait a little as I intend to read (or in this case re-read) a couple quick pulpy fun books before I take on anything serious. This morning I started on Circus of the Damned by Laurell Hamilton.

    I have just read Treasure by Clive Cussler again for the 3rd time. That man knows how to write. I admit that a few of his books have the same general layout but he makes a convincing argument to make anomilies that are known to be untrue become real.

    (PS: Sahara the movie sucked but the book was amazing)

    I finished Circus of the Damned and I have moved on to The Lunatic Cafe. It is kind of sad revisiting the beginnings of the plot arcs that would eventually ruin the later books in the series but at this point the series is still pretty good.

    I finished Lunatic Cafe and since I don't feel on starting anything serious before I leave for Ireland on Friday I decided to continue on with the series and started on Bloody Bones.

    Just finished Terrarium by Scott Sanders - very enjoyable. It seems that my luck for randomly picked books is quite good - only a few doozies...

    I finished Bloody Bones last night and I started on The Killing Dance. I don't know if I will manage to finish it before I leave for Dublin tonight. I will be reading on the train ride home but that probably won't be enough time.
