    IMHO, the best way to counter imprisonment is to get one of yr mage to cast Immunity to Abjuration. Let the lich concentrate on yr mage and get the fighters to finish him off.

    Bah.. All you need is paper. Does anyone remember an old add-on spell like in the tome of magic (D&D) or something that by making a silver symbol and casting a spell on the paper it became indestructable? This saved mages from accidental flaming backpacks and spellbooks. Well, what would happen if you were to wear these? Imagine an armor made out of paper! Then all you would need is the Sword of Death, that kills everything on contact. Just remember to wear gloves...

    Just a happy, misplaced anecdote...
