What Good is a Familliar?

    He can turn into a gnoll too. Useful for killing big bad iron golems who've gotten stuck in a doorway somewhere.

    Basically a familiar is like a mage's staff. You get to swing it once or twice against the odd monster from time to time but that's it.

    Cespanar should have been permitted as a familiar for all classes. It's not fair he gets to die at the end of TOB after making such an emotional scene of coming back. ;_;

    i find that a cat or ferret to be the best familiars as they can pick pocket.
    get them to pickpocket your own characters and you have another bag of holding effectivley, if you want your stuff back then just ask them for whatever they've pickpocketed
