That's something which i disliked about Dishonored - not killing anyone and going the sneaky approach vs going on a murderhobo killing spree actually dictated which ending you got - to get the 'good' ending, you pretty much had to go stealth without killing anyone throughout the whole game.

And while i enjoy that kind of stealth based aspect of games like that, sometimes you really just want to cut loose - even on a stealthy play through.

It's how I typically play the game, though making sure you don't accidentally kill someone or set off an alarm can be quite a hassle.

Or you need to do two simultaneous playthroughs, one as killy mckilljoy, and the other as snoop mcstealth. Feel like going on a murderspree? Load one game. Feel like a bit of stealthing? Load the other.

But I agree that it feels restrictive. Better to have weighed averages or some such, like how they do it in Alpha Protocol.

I did do both approaches, though not at the same time - my first playthrough was the one where i got the 'bad' ending - i did spend some time stealthing and blinking around, but i left plenty of bodies in my wake.
Only after finishing it once did i re-play it the pacifist way to get the other ending - having played through it once already did help a lot in navigating my way around and successfully avoiding capture.

Jumping back and forth between playstyles on two saves might have worked, but since the game is for a large part about the single player story, that doesn't seem like th best option to me - skiping back and forth like that would probably take away a bit from my immersion and enjoyment of the plot.

Finally got DA:I going; it barely runs on my laptop, but I don't care about graphics quality as long as I can smooch Cullen and hit dragons :p

I agree, and I would probably do it on consequetive playthroughs instead of parallel playthroughs as well.

Worth what? Your time? Possibly. Your money? I guess, if you can get it dirt cheap.

I'm currently playing Divinity Original Sin EE. At first I didn't really get it and now I'm afraid I might have some problems at the university cause I'm playing it almost all the time.

Has anybody played it there? Both original version and EE. I have a question about some differences between them. Do I get it right that in original version you could have at the same time Leech and Comback kid for example, but in EE you can't (it says so in the description of talent)?

I've held off from NWN2 for way too long, so I'm playing it now. Or rather, I'm trying to play it and failing because I can't make a concrete decision on what my character's personality should be like/how I should role-play as them. For me, choosing what my character is like as a person is always the hardest part of their creation.

I guess both? When it launched I heard mixed things about it and a lot of good games are coming out soon so I just wanted to make sure it's worth it

Fair enough. I had the same issue. I ran my typical paladin guy. Just wait til you get to mask of the betrayer.

The hardest part for me is to choose a build. And, this being NWN2, then the hardest thing after that is trying to continue playing in a rather bland campaign (the OC, at least, but I want to do that first), and then fighting with the quite bad party and camera controls.

Fair enough. NWN 2 followed that trend from the first. The OC is bland and boring but the expansions are pretty good and one stands out as super quality, which for me and many was MotB.

Then it sounds like it'll be a struggle all the way until the end for me. Still, I have to strike this off the backlog somehow.

I feel the same way, but I've started a game around two years ago, that I've still not finished, so not making a lot of progress.

If playing a game is a chore, you shouldn't do it. I mean, what's the benefit? So you can say you did it?

So I can strike it off the list. But I probably should just skip to MotB. Never played anything but HotU multiple times in the original NWN, either.

It isn't a chore like DA:O, though DA:O did have better camera controls (which is setting the bar towards the bottom in itself already.

If you gave it a shot and realized that it doesn't do it for you, it should be more than enough to strike it off the list. Even I'm not that anal about completing every game I happen to own. :shake:

I'm sure there's other games on the list and you shouldn't waste your precious time on games you don't enjoy. Just skip to MotB and call it a day.

Probably. I have a hard time getting into new games nowadays. I still haven't been able to strike Arcanum off the list either, for example. Or Thief (1 & 2). Or IWD (1 & 2). Or Beyond Good and Evil. Or... the list just goes on.
