Strong coffee, usually 2 cups, in the morning followed by a glass of Orange or Apple Juice.

Bottled water or rarely a Vitamin Water/G2 at lunch.

At dinner, if I'm home, I like a glass of 2% milk for some reason. But if I am out for dinner, a nice, Ice-cold beer is the way to go for me. Usually an Amstel Light or a Peroni.

Night-time is for alcohol only. A pint of Grey Goose with a splash of Fresca and a lime. Maybe two. :)

It is a great game, BTA. I have an old deck from the early 1970's that I got from my parents. They got me started playing it.

I never drink tea - of any kind, hot or cold, and probably haven't for years.

That's because I'm constantly drinking water. You see, I get gout flares, and the best way to avoid them is to stay well hydrated. I probably drink about half a gallon of water daily. It's to the point where I just filter my own water at home - bottled water gets expensive when you go through so much of it.

That's not to say that I'll only drink water - just that I have to make sure I'm drinking water in addition to whatever else I happen to be drinking. So I usually down about a pint of water first thing in the morning to re-hydrate. Once I get to work I will drink a cup of coffee or two (no milk, one Splenda). After that I revert back to water. Sometimes, I'll grab a Diet Cola of sorts in the evening around dinner time, but I do try to avoid anything with caffeine after dinner.

I hardly ever drink anything with alcohol any more. Now that it's the summer, I've moved from beer to gin and tonic when I do drink - which has probably been twice in the last month. Any old gin will do if you're mixing it with tonic, whether it be Tanqueray, Beefeater, whatever. I will have an occassional gin martini, and in those cases it must be Bombay Sapphire.

The art that is tea. Where to start. Never mind. Never use coffee. Do not need it to wake up.

And I thought I was a tea snob...I buy pretty decent loose leaf tea (generally Assams), but I like my hot tea with milk and sugar.

As for brewed cold tea, maybe it's my southern ancestors, but sweet tea is the best. Only hippes in California could drink it unsweetened! ;) :D

My beverage of choice to meals is usually milk. Love milk tend to drink a litre a day. Otherwise I also like water or possibly beer. Sugared softdrinks tend to make me feel funny and give me sleep problems. I am very sensitive to anything that affect sleep be it caffeine or sugar and try to stay away from both.

Hehe. Yeah, when I was a youngster I'd add sugar to my iced tea, but it would mostly just sink into the bottom of the glass undissolved (didn't know about making a simple syrup back then). As I got older I came to appreciate the undoctored flavor of tea and never looked back.

I have read that's typical: when young you like sweet falvors; as you age you come to like bitter flavors.

I love unsweetened ice-tea and sweetened ice-tea. Variety is the spice of life, and all that. Ice-tea is what I usually drink if I go to a restaurant.

I actually think the sweet tea offered by McDonald's is delicious. I'm not a big fan of their food, but I will sometimes cruise through their drive through just for some tea. They sell an extra large cup of sweet tea for only a dollar.

I hope that's real tea, even allowing for BTA's point about bags, instead of liquid chemicals. :p

As far as I know it is real tea. As I understand it it's nothing more than Nestea with a sugar mixture added.

Yeah... and since I'm trying to reduce my sugar intake, I think I need to lay off the stuff going forward.

I primarily drink water. For obvious reasons, tea and coffee are out. Due to drinking WAY too much pop at my Pizza Hut job back in the day, I now hate all carbonated beverages. I will drink fruit juices and Gatorades from time to time, but really, H2O is my thing.

I get through a lot of water when I am at work on nights. Like about 2 litres worth. I find if I keep myself really well hydrated it helps to fend off the tiredness (that and the frequent walks to the pisser).

It's truly wonderous stuff really, the old H20. Adam Sandler was definitely onto something.

I read about a recent study that discovered water is actually bad for you. Jolt Cola is what we should all be drinking if we want to look after our health, as it really has a lot to offer. It was a riveting article. I can't find it right now, or I'd include a link.

Unless that study was done by Antonie van Leeuwenhoek and Jolt Cola exists since 1676, I'm willing to believe that. :D "Recent" is subjective. ;) Even without that study, people just knew mead was better than water. :)

I don't have a beverage that I depend on. But I like strong, black coffee (espresso or ristretto) in the morning when I'm at work. I drink a lot of tea during the winter and simple "cloudy" lemonade (raspberry flavor) or water during the whole year.
    That's for non-alcoholic beverages.

Talk about contradiction. Which is it? "Get that milk out" or "mixed with loads of steamed milk"? I personally don't think milk belongs anywhere near coffee.

I think he means "get that milk out" as in, get it out of the fridge to pour into the coffee. ;)

Personally, coffee for me has long been a drop of milk, no sweetener sort of affair. That's how me likes it, and me likes it like that.
