    [IMG] Both Sweden and Denmark winning their groups sending France and Argentina packing! I need to take this up with that fake :almostmad: God who fed me the crappy information I posted a week ago. :1eye:

    I almost dare not mention it, but now it looks like Sweden might well reach the semi-finals. :D

    [IMG] With the first round almost finished I'd venture a new guess that Brasil meets Spain in the finals. 2-2 full time, Spain finally wins in the penalty shoot out.

    Think about this:
    One of Sweden, Senegal, Japan or Turkey will be in the semi-finals. What if Brasil stumbles in either the Round of 16 or the quarter finals? Then it looks like one of these teams have a shot at the final! :eek:
    Can you say Major Upset? :D ... yes, after France and Argentina I know you can!

    Have not been able to see much of the games this year, they are playing at 0200 here on the east coast and I am at work for the 0725 games, missing the USA vs Poland at the moment. Being patriotic, I would like to see the USA go as far as they can. I was really pleased to see France go packing, hate those guys. Viva la France!!!! Got a chance to see the Costa Rica and Brazil game late night, one of the best played games I have seen this WC.

    As for the winner, I would like to see some of the major underdogs go deep into the Cup. But in the end, I think it will be Brazil or England. I like the Owens kid and Brazil is just amazing (if the defense can play as well as the offense).

    England-Brasil in the final is not possible. They would meet in the quarter finals... if they can make it there.

    @christopher_c_pitzer
    Costa Rica Brasil one of the best played games yet? :shake:
    One of the most fun perhaps, but really the brasilians hardly put in an effort during a fair part of that game.

    I think that if England win on saturday, They'll win with more than one goal. Just a guess really.

    [IMG] I don't think neither Brasil nor England are as strong as people make it to be. (Well they are strong but the underdogs are good as well) If they get eliminated before the semifinals don't be surprised. (Heh well at least one will be eliminated by then :p )

    Oh and Denmark beats England (I felt the need to even out the English believers :p)

    I'm glad I pulled out of the Italy thing after their second game, Brazil and Spain are still good bets.

    However, I hate to say it: Don't rule out the Germans. They are sneaking up in the outside lane with virtually a walkover to the semi now. (Sorry, USA, but that's were I think your boat will run aground).

    England v Germany final? It's the stuff dreams are made from. Remember 1066? Sorry, 1966 :spin: 4-2 would do nicely. Suit you, sir? :grin:
