I completely agree with this, SI. Druids are nice support characters that can sort of split the difference between clerics and mages. They can do some healing and some secondary tanking, and they can do some summoning and some nuking.

As far as kill zones, I think that it doesn't really require all that many spells to set up a decent KZ in normal mode. The thing is that in HOF, monsters have so many HP's that you need a lot of spells like spike stones, cloud kill, etc. to build up enough damage to make a good KZ. But you can probably do a half decent KZ in NM with only one spell like web or entangle, and one damaging spell like spike stones or cloudkill. Personally, I'm fond of chucking a Grease spell into the mix, just because anything that keeps the baddies stuck in the KZ means that they take more damage from the spells and from my ranged fire.

Anyways, I agree that druids are a nice complement to both clerics and mages. And personally, I find it more interesting to use a different class than to have a second cleric or mage.

    From memory:

Arctic Boar has CON 14, does 8-10 points of damage per hit, has DR 3.
The bears have STR in the 26-34 range, and CON 18 or so, DEX 14-ish.
Dire panthers have less STR (26) but DEX 20+ and more speed. They do something like 2d6 + STR with an occasional rake for 2d8 on top.
Elementals have STR in the mid-twenties, AC in the 20s, do 4d8-ish plus STR damage, and do NOT receive an elemental's 15/+2 DR or whatever it is.

[IMG] Have a look here for a detailed list. I should think of doing something similar for the Ease-of-use mod's Alternate Shapeshift Forms...

Thanks, coineineagh. That's useful. Looks like I was slightly off on several of those recollections, like the Boar's CON.
