Weapon proficiency when dualled

    [​IMG] If I was a Berzerker and put my some of my proficiency points into, lets say Axes, and I dualled to a Cleric, would I still be able to use Axes?

    [​IMG] Too bad :( . I thought the Axe of Harogarth from the collector's edition would be pretty cool to use with a Cleric(it gives you a wisdom bonus meaning more spells).

    I assume he is talking about the Axe you get from Joluv in the Copper Coronet in the Slums district.

    Wonder why some of the 'bonus edition' items are like that... increase wisdom on the axe holder but clerics can't take advantage of it. Tempts you to buy it, then slaps you in the face when you realize your cleric can't use it :nolike:

    And IIRC, there's also a halberd somewhere that decreases STR. That's odd. Poor fighters.

    When I first played, I also thought it was weird for the Dak'kon Zerth Katana to add spells for a mage, since mages can't normally equip katana.

    I believe that some of the weapons are designed with certain classes or multi/dual classes in mind. The Dak'kon Zerth blade for example seems best suited to a kensai dualled to a mage, due to their oriental nature.
    I too cannot understand the purpose of having weapons which penalise your stats. I can't think of any that I did not sell when I had the first opportunity.

    Actually the halberd (Harmonium Halberd) raises strength +1 and decreases both intelligence and wisdom by -1. It's a decent enough halberd until you get the Ravager. The Ravager has to be one of the best weapons in the game.

    Yes, very true. I guess I was thinking too much about the berserker dual to cleric thing...

    And my memory didn't serve me well on the halberd one either. I take that one back too. :)

    IIRC the weapons mentioned are from the bonus merchants CD. The merchants are found in the Copper Coronet (Joluv) and Ribalds Store (Deirdre). I am unsure if the are contained in a patch or one of the many mods (the bonus merchants that is).
