    I'm with JSBB on this one. His age is a pretty big issue. He's what? 78 already? And on the site that I saw that he was the new pope, the caption read something along the lines of: "isn't he too old? will he be able to..etc."

    Well, it's good to have a new pope. It felt weird between the time John Paul II died and Benedict XVI was elected. While life did go on in the Vatican, there wasn't a "vice-Pope" to be a visible figurehead.
