When expanding on an NPC you have a constant nagging...
    "Is this right?"
    "Would she say this?"
    "I need to rewrite this..."
"Oh look, a shiny copper piece!"

I often find after a meandering half hour of typing and thought processes of a 1:2 ratio I start drifting off to make something original.

Then slapping myself on the wrist, playing with glue I keep on my desk (foolishly) and discovered it also melts it (which was quite funny really)

Overall I'm astounded I'm making progress :jawdrop: despite the fact that for every two lines I write I'm changing three others, I feel like I'm getting somewhere, just slowly. But I'm also getting into it more.

I'm just desperately hoping what I'm writing fits into other peoples scope of who Mazzy is. I have no had much (meaningful) input but I have attempted to take it all on board. Even sitting and reading all her dialogue files to check for inconsistencies isn't a chore but an interesting diversion from typing, thinking like a short, british woman with a penchent for stabbing, archery and justice with a shock of bright ginger hair (mine is purple afterall)

As a suggestion, you may feel that you are making more progress if you stop changing stuff until you've finished writing all the talks. Trying to change things as they are written makes for very slow progress. You may even be able to look at the stuff with a fresh mind when it has all been put down as a first draft. *shrug*

Oh, and while I may not be much of a Mazzy expert, should you wish for someone to proof-read, I'm willing to volunteer. I should at least be able to spot spelling mistakes and/or grammar errors. ;)

Besides, I can understand the whole ginger hair thing. If I remember her portrait right, I've even got more of it than her. :)

I have written most of it now  The bits I'm changing are the stuff I wrote originally well over two years ago :mommy: and am proof-reading again. I know I still skip over a lot of spelling mistakes simply as I am awful at spotting them myself and have always found it difficult. I will most likely just strip the text and shove it through OpenOffice Writer at the end

    Don't worry, I'll hit you if I think she's unMazzylike! :)

But, um, seriously though, keep up the good work! I won't chase you for it for a while, because I've got plenty of BG1 goodness to keep me amused. :)
