[IMG] I bought WC3 not too long ago, and every time I do a Campaign mission and it plays a pre-rendered cut-scene, it gives me an error message saying, and I quote:
This application has encountered a critical error:

    The file data is corrupt.

    Program: C:bad:Program Files\Warcraft III\War3.exe
    File: Sound\Music\mp3Music\SadMystery.mp3

It just so happens that this "Sound\Music\mp3Music\SadMystery.mp3" file does not exist on my computer. I searched using the search tool and then looked around myself and nothing with that name exists. Obviously, the reason it gives me this is because the file does not exist. Although, this "Sound\Music\mp3Music" folder does not exist either, so this is just odd. If anyone has some input it would be much appreciated.

[IMG] The file and directory does exist. Just as in all other Blizzard games, sound files and stuff like that is stored in a MPQ archive called war3.mpq. Inside this file, you'll find the file Sound\Music\mp3Music\SadMystery.mp3 which you have problems with.

The easiest way to fix your problem is probably to get the war3.mpq from your game CD and replace the one installed on your hard drive (in the WarCraft II folder). I don't know if this will cause any problems though, because on my computer the installed version of war3.mpq is 420MB while the version on the CD is only 401 MB :/.
