Meh, I think those guys are way out of it. Who did they think would do better?

Anyway, congratulations to Senator (still) Obama, though I doubt he would ever come upon this forum. The man has done something historic and - looking at it from some distance - nearly incredible. Now we have to see if he can manage an even bigger, and ultimately much more important, challenge - running the United States of America with the insight, vision, and success that his country deserves, and leave it a much better place.

    I wish him well.

Shaman, you are looking at a president-elect that is going to be walked all over by the russian federation(and others) & we will be back to the cold-war status of the '80s before he is out of office in 4 years.

Oh man! Really? Why didn't anyone SAY? What will it be about? Will the Russians try and maintain the capitalistic status quo even as the US slides into Communism?

Yeah, they only showed McCain's foaming at the mouth, batshit insane moments, not his quieter, more contemplative ones. The media made him come over like some sort of crazy old man...

Well, actually, I didn't like to say but there's a rumour that he was once upon a time actually posting on these forums under the pseudonym 'Sharlp' or something like that...

Anyone remembers the GOP driven hysteria about ACORN and voter fraud?

In Ohio a case was brought forth by a prosecutor on voter fraud. The prosecutor then, after the elections, recused himself, after Democrats suggested a possible conflict of interest, mainly because said prosecutor also was south west Ohio regional campaign chairman for Republican U.S. presidential nominee John McCain.

Fun fact: Only one voter fraud case found in Ohio. Here's the special prosecutor's report. Much ado about nothing.

Yes, of course: The special prosecutor lies. Case solved.

Ragusa, you aren't honestly saying that you've never heard of the vast left-wing conspiracy, are you? Rest assured, the vast left-wing conspiracy is every bit as real as the vast right-wing conspiracy, the second gunman, leprechauns, and the Easter bunny...and it should be taken just as seriously. :)

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, and that's why we need to invade Iraq.

Aha. It was so obvious, I can't believe I didn't notice before. "AMaster" is actually an anagram for "Donald Rumsfeld."
