[IMG] Ok, how about this. I know everything has been tried in a solo (including Jester - damn I wish I read the description of that). What about a sorcerer who has to choose the spells on each level randomly? Say each time you get a screen with one of those 'choose spell' lists you roll a die. If it rolls five you choose the fifth spell on the list - whatever it is.

If this is too difficult maybe allow one non-random spell choice very five levels or something like that.

I think this could be fun to play, instead on relying on your favourite spells you have to go around incessently summoning spiders or doing the best ou can with a tenser's and a staff of rynn.

Anyone think this is doable? More importantly, anyone want to do it?

Interesting thought. However, the spells that you don't get to have can be cast with a scroll, so that makes it seems less harder.

By the way, you'll need a many-sided dice to roll a random spell. But two 10-sided dice would work.

If it's too easy, you could always bar the casting from scrolls....

It should teach you a lot about resourcefulness and many new ways to skin the cat as they say.

I think a lot will depend on the initial "random" choices the system makes for you when you roll the character up, or were you planning to chose these on a die roll too?

    PS,

You'd only need to 2 d6's and treat it as a matrix. (If memory serves there are no more than 6 by 6 showing on the screen? If there are 7 accross, then that idea is out of the window as I'm buggered if I can remember where all my PnP dice are. Given time I'll take up the challenge for a laugh though.
