The Conversion Pack has each fearture as a separatly installable component. That way you can pick and choose exactly what features of the pack you want to play with.

EDIT: I don't play with the 3E XP tables myself. But they are included for completness-sake.

I changed back to normal XP tables, but I chose to remain at the level I was at. I changed the bard to a f/m/t. Fights can get tough sometimes (playing on insane), but if I pre-buff, I can usually slaughter most things.

I've never really played a small party before, because I always feel like I miss out on a lot of equipment. Unfortunately, I like melee weapons more than ranged ones, which might not be so good in this game. My f/m/t only has one weapon slot, but he uses a shield anyway. My r/c has nothing in his second hand, but uses a hammer. I recently found a returning throwing hammer, so I might put it to use.

 

I did not like the level 40 spell tables of AB. My bard started casting 9th level spells, the blasphemy. Such powerful magic is reserved only for true mages IMHO.

I knwo there are not official rules for level 40, BUT there are rules for up to lvl 30. (epic adventures hand book or something like that) Therefore, using the same pattern in the spell progression tables, you can create tables up to level 40 and more. (I have level 50 patch for my BG2!)

You said lvl 40 won't work with AB properly, you mean it will cause bugs? Oh my, can this be the cause to my crashing problem upon exporting characters to HoF? Curious.
