Striling was a car driver only but never raced against who I'm thinking of.

Clue: he won the Formula 1 championship in 1964

Congrats on the post teekc but shame for the answer, wrong corner, wrong driver. Jim never raced bikes seriously.

    Giveaway clue: First name John

    Ok here's a new question

Which book has the dubious honour of being the most stolen from libraries?

The answer I was looking for was John Surtees

Assuming that anything by Pratchet counts as a novel, I'd have to guess at something stupidly expensive which lots of students need. Greys Anatomy?

IIRC the top theft item varies from place to place. A lot of the thefts are books with nudity in them (Madonna's book, The Joy of Sex, etc.).

The one I found humorous, that seems to be universal in the top ten by region, is 'Steal This Book' -- don't remember the author though.
