Is it possible to transfer save games between computers? I have IWD installed on my work laptop for when I'm travelling but the hinges have started to crack and I fear it may be replaced soon. I'm currently battling my way through the undead in the Dragon's Eye and don't really fancy playing through all the early sections again. I must admit I still haven't gotten back to Planescape since my hard drive got wiped when I was in the Fortress of Shadows.

Looking at the files is it simply a case of copying the mpsaves folder from one drive to another? Or do I need to do anything else?

Also, do I have to make sure that all the versions are exactly the same? I just have the standard patches, HOW and Luremaster installed so it shouldn't be an issue but I was just wondering in case I ever do need to transfer a modded game.

The versions need to be EXACTLLY the same (patch and mods etc).

after that just copy the MPSAVE folder yes,

If any portraits and/or sounds then copy those folders as well etc, but you can always play without.

As long as you play with just patched games, this isn't large problem, Mods can get a bit more fuzzy.

Thanks a lot for that. Shouldn't be too bad at all so. The file size is quite small so a USB stick should work fine. Didn't want to mess with mods either for my first run through so getting the version right will be fine also. Great to hear this, didn't want this to be my third IE game abandoned through hardware malfunctions.
