The wrong number stories are funny. I've been getting calls from some woman looking for Angie for some time now (I am not Angie). Sometimes this woman will make one call right after the other in her attempts to reach Angie, even after I tell her the first time that no, once again this is not Angie's number and that she shouldn't call back because she'll never find Angie here. "Okay." *click* ... seconds pass ... RING RING "Hello (me again, the guy who just said Angie will never be found at this number). "Is Angie there?"

I was thinking of calling her back too to drive home the point, but then I got a strange notion in my head that the caller is a mentally ill person who is on an eternal quest to locate an imaginary Angie and that if she ever really understands that there is no Angie her purpose for existance will be destroyed. So I just do the ignore thing when the number rings in now. I may not want to ruin her life, but I don't feel the need to explain that Angie's not here over and over again.

I suppose I could test my theory by explaining that Angie is currently on a mission to Alpha Centauri and won't be back until 2045, but that would be mean.

I'm sure that's true, 'cause I am teh sexeh! ;) (Actually you could be right ... memories of a long lost love or something?)

She'd probably call back all the time for mission updates then, and I would have no one to blame but myself. :p

Maybe you should start talking with her like you know her for a long time. Or, you could always say "This is Angie" when she asks.

What happened with Celtic also happened to a friend of mine. He used to have only one different number from a local pizza place. So people kept calling at all hours for pizza. He started to take the orders than hang up. It's a shame for the pizza place though...

@ Cara : On behalf of Québec, I'm sorry for that picture. They don't look like all of us...

Worked out today for the first time in forever, and it felt great! I am going to try working out 4 times a week, and on the other 3 days get some form of exercise so I feel better about myself, start the day off well, and can hopefully change my lifestyle a bit.

And so I can impress women with my rock hard bod and massive muscles :D

Speaking of which ... one final bit of spam on this topic: some time ago an older woman (not Angie's friend) called my phone and left a very moving message for someone else about how she forgives them and wants them to come back home or some such thing. I felt so bad at the prospect that the intended recipient would not receive the message and that the caller would think she was spurned that I called her back myself just to make it clear that she had the wrong number and she should try again with the right number. I sort of expected some small degree of gratitude and maybe even a few tears, but what I got instead was "Yeah, so why are you calling me? Mind your own business."

So much for having a heart. :skeptic:

 Haha, I meant that after the workout I felt good... endorphin release, baby! Of course, it sucked during it, and it will suck tomorrow when I am sore, but it will be worth it.

    I am surrounded by idiots

I had that weird phone call last night from the woman who couldn't see because she had her glasses on and then this afternoon when I went to pick Ashley up from nursery, I came back to my car to find a snotty note on it! I'd parked just beside this little dirt track thing. It had no signs to say it was an access road or anything, it just looked like a footpath. Anyway, I parked near it but with left a big gap there.

Apparantly, it WAS an access road (but how was I to know?) and the guy who lives down it has caused problems for the nursery as they want to expand slightly but this guy says that they cause too much congestion. I'm not suprised he thinks that as he couldn't get his pissy little Seat through the gap that I left when I could have got my Hi-lux and trailer through it. Seriously, if he couldn't get through that gap then he shouldn't be bloody driving!

Man i'm tired. Every year, around this time, I just stop being able to sleep. It's annoying at first, and painful later on.

    1- [bleep] myspace!
    2- Death/Black? Meh. I'd rather have Industrial.
3- I also am a million times more handsome than that ripoff who looks like a freaking teenager in a metalhead phase... and is much too happy to be a true metalhead anyway.
    4- [bleep] that POS
5- His chick is an ugly whore too

My arms are sore now, for certain. Tomorrow will be worse, I'll bet though. But I will be MAN soon (right now I am a man, but not a MAN). We need a flexing smiley, just for this purpose.

And DotW, I agree, I saw the name and was like, "is DotW seriously on myspace?" And then I saw it was that... creature and lolled by balls off. Right off.
