I just realized this is in the SoA forum.

    I'd suggest a Dual-classed Swashbuckler >Cleric.

Yeah Swashbucklers are hugely under-rated and give a good base to any dual classing scheme with their armour and weapon bonuses.

Remember you can weapon specialise and place three stars in 2-weapon proficiency with a Swashbuckler.

Ok guys, I thought you got to those goodies on the regular installation... meaning no mods. Thanks for the explanation. ;D

C/T is cool. Gnomes are good candidate too, as they have neat saving throws, and are more durable than half-orcs in dangerous situations (say, when disintegrate rays and finger of deaths flying around, occasional in my modded games. :shake: ). So ½ orc is more offensive, with 19 STR he does MASSIVE damage in melee and backstabbing, but our cuddly gnome is more defensive. Plus you can romance Aerie! Cute!

The only thing I am having trouble compensating for is mage spells. I don't need or miss a fighter at all, a little Righteous Magic or Holy Power or Draw Upon Holy Might and Defensive Harmony and I am a fighter. I may move my Half-Orc to my computer that has ToB installed. Given the HLA of UAI and this guy will be god-like.

Now that this is in the ToB forum....

With UAI you can use the Robe of Vecna -- very handy for speeding up those cleric spells. Plus the quest level spells are absolutely devastating. Before UAI my gnome C/T was mostly a thief with a little clerical power -- with UAI, the clerical spells are fast enough so the clerical portion is actually more powerful (even with spike trap). A couple of spike traps and implosion will kill almost anything.

I should be able to use scrolls too, like Spell Trigger, Simulacrum, Chain Contingency, Time Stop, and so on. Man! I think this is going to be the most awesome PC I ever had and I am not even a powergamer!

I haven't tried that yet. I've been resisting the temptation and trying to push on with just the clerical and thieving skills. But chain contingency....

If I could get improved alacrity as HLA I would rule all I survey! Man! UAI Rocks! I would never have thought that an 1\2 Orc Thief / Ceric could be so powerful! If I didn't like party interaction so much I would continue this game solo. I may start a new game just to solo or at the most keep Imoen. What do you think.
