    Player Races

(message me for extra info an a particular race)

Aasimar (to be found in the Citadel of Devotion or descendants of the god Borgerix or goddess Grunla in the Northlands)

Aventi (found off the south shore of Lyonesse)

    Dwarf (hill dwarf)

    Mountain Dwarf

    Deep Dwarf

    Gnome (rock gnome)

    Forest Gnome

    Halfling (lightfoot halfling)

    Deep Halfling

    Tallfellow Halfling

Hobgoblin (do to the patronage of Mairadon, Hobgoblins often serve as elite guards in civilized society)

    Modified/Custom Races

Stone Dwarf-Stone dwarves have the same traits as deep dwarves, except when it comes to attributes. Stone dwarves are tough even for dwarves, but are also less nimble then other dwarves.

Elf (high elf)-High elves are as tall as humans with the standard elf traits, excluding attributes. High elves are not only more dexterous then humans, they are also more intelligent then humans. However they are only only more frail then humans, but weaker then humans as well. High elves tend to have dark or auburn hair, pale skin and blue or green eyes. Blond hair or violet eyes are rare, but not unheard of in high elves.

Wood Elf-Wood elves are as tall as humans with standard elf traits. They most commonly are found as rangers. Wild elves have hair ranging from blond to coppery red, olive skin and brown, green or hazel eyes.

Half-Dwarf-Half-dwarves average around 5 ft. of height (they are taller if they are mountain dwarves). They are physically and mentally as able as their human brethren. They see as well in the dark as full blooded dwarves and are more stable on their feet then humans, but not as much as dwarves. They are also resistant to poison and magic like their dwarven kin. Due to the union of human ambition and dwarven love of valuables, half-dwarves make for natural merchants. They favor their dwarven ancestors when it comes to reaction to magic.

(Regions aren't that well defined yet, so it should give some flexibility, I'll try to get a map up at some point)

Auvelaine: The cultural capital of the western kingdoms. Auvelaine is run with fertile farm land and cosmopolitan cities. Three years ago, the beloved King Belard VI abdicated his throne rather then stand against his son who was taking military action to acquire the throne. King Belard VII is a master horse trainer, devilishly handsome and viciously mad. A steady stream of refugees has been fleeing since. Auvelaine is home of the Church of Elonid and the Cathedral of the Righteous Path, the residence of the Grand Prelate Adestien IX. In Auvelaine, the first estate holds more power then the second estate.

Citadel of Devotion: A fortress standing on a cliff over looking the water just south of the Nirghoran Ice Sea and a port nestled at the base of the cliff, only accessible from the sea or through the fortress itself. The Citadel of Devotion was founded by the angelic orders and the city is populated by celestial beings and good mortals (with the occasional good leaning neutral). The purpose of the Citadel of Devotion is to the forces of Illorun and the other beings of Nirghora in check.

Loskgrod: One of the northern most kingdoms in the west. While Loskgrod has its own king and nobility, the real power brokers in this nation are the priestesses of Illorun. Loskgrod therefore often suffers from its girl children, specifically if they have the coloring of Valkyries, to be taken away for religious training and for the sacrifice of young maidens. The Crown of Loskgrod is often in conflict with the Princedom of Foltzgard, but the manipulative and treacherous Elsandra Foltzgard almost always ends up with the upper hand.

Lyonesse: The Kingdom of Lyonesse is the civilized half of the Island of Lyonesse. Following the death of King Alroth IV "the Vain" five years ago, his oldest of two daughters, Queen Lornessa I "the Hangman's Queen", ascended the throne. Lornessa is a devoted follower of Mairadon and therefore a brutal ruler has little tolerance for disobedience. Lornessa, as demonstrated by her marriage to a prince of Lonaeza (who was executed for treason), is barren and is currently seeking to marry her sister to a follower of Mairadon to ensure Lornessa's heir has her spiritual beliefs in mind. Currently the Kingdom of Lyonesse is in morning for their hero, Caewin Whitecliff, cleric of Elonid and the most powerful mortal in the last one hundred years was killed the one who he loved and loved him in turn. The Kingdom of Lyonesse has been at war with it's "uncivilized" elements for years, persecuting druids, rangers and others. Lyonesse, unlike most other civilized nations has considerable contact with the Northlands, trading with the Northlanders for furs and other northern goods.

Old Lyonesse: The uncivilized half of the Island of Lyonesse. Old Lyonesse is currently in open conflict with Lyonesse and the Queen's own cousin, the beautiful and charismatic Lady Essellia “Queen of Barbarians” Beccester. Lady Essellia has the backing of Gwalydd Celwydson, the most powerful living hero and berserker in the west. Old Lyonesse is a stronghold for many fey creatures and faeries.

Northern Princedoms: The Northern Princedoms are of up of five principle kingdoms, the Princedom of Maranhold (North), the Princedom of Karngaal (Northwest), the Princedom of Foltzgard (Northeast), the Princedom of Gretzen (Southwest) and the Princedom of Hozenval (Southeast). Maranhold is ruled by Rynvald Maranhold and is a stronghold for followers of Mairadon and Vailorath. Maranhold lands encase the dreaded Elle Moor. Karngaal is ruled Bairald Karngaal, but is currently suffering from large scale rebellion and an orcish invasion. Foltzgard is ruled by Elsandra Foltzgard, a woman who is said to be of peerless beauty. Gretzen is ruled by Olhard Gretzen, a beautiful boy of sixteen years of age. Gretzen is the most powerful of the five kingdoms economically. Hozenval is refuge for evil men and worshippers of false gods. The infamous vampire couple Astorra and Olrath, along with their daughter Chrysanthia make their home in Hozenval in the dreaded Castle Vothyretz.

The Northlands: The most hostile environment in the Western kingdom. Frigid air blows in from from Nirghora itself, evil gods such as Hjomir, Tviar, Lothgar and Illorun, all who require human sacrifice, hold tremendous power and hill and frost giants are never far away. The Northlands are home for vikings and similar raiders, specifically in the Kingdom Vorstul, which was founded by followers of Hjomir, Tviar and Lothgar to resist the power of Illorun's priestesses.

There are a couple of more kingdoms if you want a more southern flair (or ultra-"chivalric" flair), just send me a message.

For character creation, simply list your character's description and race and let everything else come out in the RP.

Remember that while your character probably has some adventuring experience, they really aren't all that powerful.

Trailen is a middle aged human, he has a pale complection and dark hair. His eyes are tired looking and brown with golden flecks surrounding the pupil. He is not particularly strong and his frame is wiry.

At his side he carries a falchion of no particular interest, and he dresses in a dark shirt and trousers tucked into sturdy black boots. A hooded cloak hangs from his shoulders, his hood remains up seemingly always, hiding his face.

His voice is quiet and his accent shows a certain Auvelaine flare, although it is evident that he has lost some of it from his travels. Although he keeps it tucked away, an observant person would notice that around Trailens neck hangs an amulet of Zares "The Unwanted One".

EDIT: After Reading Rotku's I thought I'd add a bit more.

Kala, a human of fairly short height and thin build appears to be around 23 years of age. Her hair, more often than not tied behind her head in a single plat, is a light brown colour and streches half way down her back.

When travelling she wears a heavy cloak, keeping her warm from the cold north winds. Her clothes are generally fairly mild colours - earthy browns and greens - following no particular fashion. In her hand often rests a heavy wooden staff, which she uses as a walking aid when needed. Upon her back sits a large, leather backpack, obviously very well made, but has seen better days. When off the road she tends to wear fairly non-descript dresses, once again in earthy colours.

Around her neck sits a golden chain, from which three amulets hang from. The first, one would recongise as the holy symbol of Neipheris, Lady of Starlight. The second amulet along the chain is also recongisable, this one as the holy symbol of Shoulang, The All Knowning. The third amulet upon the chain seems upon inspection to be merely a plain golden ring.

She speaks with a fairly quiet voice, coated in a thick accent, which to the well travelled, is clearly from the shores of the Kingdom of Lyonesse.

Berethain is a young man who is at home in the north. From a Viking family, he decided to adventure and jumped at this oppurtunity. 25 years old he's seen a fair amount of life, but at the same time is fairly naive.

He is tall around 6'3, and muscular close to 240lbs. He has black hair that is shaved close to his really it's just stubble.

He always wears Leather armor that his father gave him, stained a dark brown, its battered and stitched from use but it's comfy. He carries twin hand axes in sheath that crosses his back.

He doesn't wear any amulets, but across his shoulders he has the unlocked manacles of Linpai branded into his skin.

Boisterous and confident, Berethain is not shy or quiet. He enjoys social atmmospheres like taverns.

Corth isn't very tall, a little shorter than average. He has straight - but unkempt - light brown hair that reaches down to his shoulders and then some.
He is not thin, nor is he very heavyset - in muscles or in general weight. His eyes are a pale shade of green. He also sports a scraggly beard, which he keeps scratching and he keeps rubbing it, as if he's not used to wearing a beard.

He wears a very dark purple - almost black - travelling cloak, which is in very poor condition and has dark brown and red stains in many places. Underneath his cloak in a scabbard on his right hip he carries a shortsword. Which, is in remarkably good condition considering the rest of his appearance. Hung over his right shoulder, and resting on his left side is a satchel. On close inspection it doesn't look like it contains very much.

Corth keeps his cloack wrapped around himself at all times and keeps his satchel held tightly. Around his neck he wears a holy symbol of Vailorath. He also seems constantly alert.

Slade is a young Earth Genasi. Driven from his home at a young age by a town that couldn't accept his differences, he has since spent more than half of his 24yrs away from the company those he once cherished.

Once wary of others, this young Genasi was lucky enough to be found half dead by a monk. He was then taken to a monastary where his skills as well as his mind were honed.

His formal training now complete he has once again ventured out into the world. Unfortunately, for Slade, these days people fear him as a monster due to his earthen skin and oversized extremities. The gravelly voice isn't much help either.

Despite everything, Slade has managed to maintain his good natured attitude.. That is, as long as his feet are firmly planted on the ground...
