This thread brought a warmth to my heart that I have not felt in centuries.

Well, I've been asking people for ages to start some non-political topics in AoDA as well, but no one ever did. About time people started to.

I also vow not to rise to the bait and avoid the U.S. topics. At least I'm going to try.

By the way, my Pete Rose topic should raise my score to a 1. :)

A U.S.-bashing boycott. Brilliant idea. What will Ragusa do with himself? :D

I welcome the change, to be honest. At least for a few weeks, anyway.

[IMG] We could even start a U.S. lovefest... all sorts of topics that praise the United States for one thing or another.

Ragusa's blood would boil! :)

Aye, it is a rare occasion when I venture into the AoDA because of so many America bashing threads. I mean yes, those topics have broadened my scope of global American actions, but dang people, cool your jets, shakedown your own countries infrastructure and leave ours the hell alone for a week or two.

And as soon as I get done with this post and find a good non-political topic to debate in, Aiky, watch out.

First off: If America have so many bashing-threads against them, don't that prove something? :D

Second: As Joacquin said, it isn't much to do in the AODA except discussing politics, unless someone actually makes an interesting topic, otherwise, we will all have to rely on Ragusa to supply us with thread.

Yes, well, the point of this is to stop Ragusa from providing us with threads, and to debate something interesting.
I'd say we're going quite well, even though my hopeful waffle on political correctness got moved off to Booktalk. Seven threads, pushing many of the America ones off the page.

    Yay!

Yes. That a few people are more than willing to excuse stupidity or flaws in their own country and instead waste time seeking out information that doesn't concern their lives in the slightest.

It would be nice to see threads other than: "US Sucks!" all the time. I've gotten sick and tired of reading conspiracy theories.

Perhaps we should start a conspiracy theory on the AoDA (Alley of Death to America).

Everyone has a piece of this world-wide conspiracy, and post after post, we will be able to reconstruct it! :)

Think of it... finally we will have all the answers to the influence of the Illuminata, Skull and Bones, Area 51, Oil Companies, etc...

For instance: The United States is sending men to Mars because there was life - and where there was life, there is oil. The entire NASA project was started and is controlled by American oil companies!

The US has also secretly learned the secrets of time travel from Vulcans and even now are wiping out the history of every other civilization in the world.

As we speak, the capital of Rome was NYC and all people are secretly slaves of Lord Washington.

[IMG] Well, Aik's campaign seems to be working. At the time I'm posting this, of the top 20 topics in the Alley, only 3 have anything to do with "US is bad" or Iraq, and one of those (Blackhawk's) is kind of tongue-in-cheek (although it's starting to get serious).

Let's give ourselves a round of applause! :D

Actually someone could start a good old-fashioned US bashing thread, as I'm getting bored with theology.

Non US Bashing Week is long over (I think), so by all means, bash whoever, just don't do it so much that this thread need reviving. That would be rather sad.
