    Actually, nowhere in the rules does it say that Diplomacy is for NPCs only. It applies to PC characters as well.

    D&D 3.5 Players Handbook page 71: Diplomacy

    It is becose it would be silly for one player to say to DM: "Im gonna lie to the guy sitting next to me and over hearing this, and not tell him about the pit trap, but try to bluff him that its safe to walk forward."

    Just imagine how silly that would get :p

    Right, my mistake.

    Still, this is when his Leadership feat comes into play. >=)

    Or when he happen to take a walk to Elminister and convince the bugger to join him, together with Klauth and pretty much everyone else, since nobody can resist his Diplomacy rolls.
