    @keldor
    Some of us are kids, thus rendering 'cool' a valid adjective.
    Halflings IMHO are way cooler than elves as assasains, although they do have slightly more appeal in 3E D&D because of the size adjustment thingy :)

    Well, if you're talking about armour, there is one that I think is suited for a backstabbing thief.
    How about the armour you get from the mayor after completing the Umar Hills quest?
    Being a thief isn't about all the protection and stuff. But it is more on what you do best, isn't it?

    The Gift of the Night is, IMHO, the armour that a backstabbing thief, thats what I guess being an assassin would be, should get to further improve the chance of hiding.
    Add a ring of invisibility of course! For the Maximum effect!

    [IMG] How do you find Artemis in the Game? I assume you are talking about Artemis Entreri, as you mention Lifestealer!!

    Artemis was cut from the game, though his items and files are still intact in the game. Unfinished Business restores him.

    You can see Artemis for a few seconds if you attack or pickpocket anyone in the Shadow Thief building. I learned that the hard way trying to steal from Mae'var's bartender. :( It only takes a few seconds before the whole party was in chunks, thanks to some auto-kill code.

    The immense katana Celestial Fury would be a better weapon-choice imo, since it does 1D10+3 and has a chance of both stunning and doing 20 electrical damage.

    Mayby a ring of invisibility of some sort too?

    Stilletto of Demarchess +2, Pixie Prick +3, Gnasher +2, Belm +2 etc are pretty cool weapons which might be considered for the assassins out there...because everyone harps on about the Celestial Fury +3, but it gets BORING using it after a while..and besides, these have some really cool effects which can save your assassin's butt if the enemy survives the Quintuple Backstab...

    As for armor, I recommend using Shadow Dragon Scale OR The Night's Gift (the one with the stealth enhancement). These armors are more in character with an Assassin I would think.

    Isn't that Arkanis? I've tried killing shadow thieves there before and just had Arkanis show up and instantly kill the PC no matter what kind of protections I've got. Even Absolute Immunity and Stoneskin don't do any good against him.

    Hmm.. that may be Arkanis and not Artemis. I haven't attacked anyone in the thieves guild for a while so I could have gotten the name wrong.

    It must be Arkanis and you stand no chance, if you won, the plot would be ruined. I think the same happens when you side with Bodhi and try to pickpocket her.
