    After teaching his class all about roman numerals (X = 10, IX=9 and so on) the teacher asked his class to draw a single continuous line and turn IX into 6. The only stipulation the teacher made was that the pen could not be lifted from the paper until the line was complete.

    And the single continous line is an "S"?

    And for getting that right (presumably you put the 'S' in front of the IX) you get a balloon on a stick.

    I have one indeed;

    'Twas whispered in Heaven, 'twas muttered in Hell,
    And echo caught faintly the sound as it fell;
    On the confines of Earth, 'twas permitted to rest,
    And in the depths of the ocean its presence confessed;
    'Twill be found in the sphere when 'tis riven asunder,
    Be seen in the lightning and heard in the thunder;
    'Twas allotted to man with his earliest breath,
    Attends him at birth and awaits him at death,
    Presides o'er his happiness, honor and health,
    Is the prop of his house and the end of his wealth.
    In the heaps of the miser, 'tis hoarded with care,
    But is sure to be lost on his prodigal heir;
    It begins every hope, every wish it must bound;
    With the husbandman toils, and with monarchs is crowned;
    Without it the soldier and seaman may roam,
    But woe to the wretch who expels it from home!
    In the whispers of conscience its voice will be found,
    Nor e'er in the whirlwind of passion be drowned;
    'Twill soften the heart; but though deaf be the ear,
    It will make him acutely and instantly hear.
    Set in shade, let it rest like a delicate flower;
    Ah! Breath on it softly, it dies in an hour.

    I think the answer is "No I can't guess the riddle" because there isn't a consistent answer to the questions

    I deem Maurolava to be correct, because answering it with "no" would imply that you have absolutely no emagination at all. You can always guess the riddle, even though your answer might not make any sense at all.

    You're up, Maurolava.

    Thank you Bahir the Red,

    A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

    Yes, if it was true, then the judge would have to make it false by sentencing him to four years. If it was false, then he would have to give him six years, which would make it true. Rather than contradict his own word, the judge set the man free.

    Bahir gets the ball back!
