    I don't think he's answering. I think he's asking what I'm thinking: WTF??!!

    Want to enlighten the few of us in the minority that have no clue how the answer fits the riddle (as opposed to, let's say, a poker table, or any other particular wooden table with some type of green felt attached to it)?

    Because a snooker table is really really heavy and would be fatal if it fell on you out of a tree. A card table is usually pretty light and flimsy. I did warn you that I was crap at riddles.

    Snooker is a game where you use a long stick to poke coloured balls around a table into pockets around the sides in the correct order. From a distance, it looks similar to Pool and/or Billiards.

    Bah!


    Two convicts are locked in a cell.

    There is an unbarred window high up in the cell.

    No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape.

    They then decide to tunnel out.

    However, they give up with the tunnelling because it will take too long.

    Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell.



    What is his plan?

    Righto, this one took me 2 days during year 10 camp to figure out but some of you may get it quicker.

    When you die, your spirit goes to the realm where the gates to heaven and hell are located. Both of the gates look exactly the same. There is an angel and a demon standing by the gates although the demon looks exactly like the angel. The demon will always lie and the angel will always tell the truth. What question, as you are only allowed one, should you ask to find out which gate is the one to heaven?

    A classic, Aussie.

    You ask them both what the other one would say if you asked for Heaven's Gate. The one that's lying will point to the Gate of Hell, and the one that's telling the truth will also point to the Gate of Hell.
