    Fire boils away water, uses up air, and melts earth, all naturally.

    Water puts out fire and erodes earth.

    Air erodes earth.

    Earth doesn't do anything against the others naturally.

    Hint: One of the key statements is that if you push it too far it will break. It is getting caught in the remnants of the break that causes scars.
