You think this is long? We had a thread with around about 970 posts in it. Unfortunately it had to be closed as it seemed to be causing some problems with the boards.

And BTW Azardu, as chromatic dragons are meant to be evil, I would guess that pink dragons are evil :D ;) :p

I just read the thread and nobody mentioned the Neo-Stalinist Mongolian Playtupi that puposefully ran over a mustang in their F350 only to be caught by scoobie doo. Now how did they manage to neglect that whole incident? huh?

I just moved to a new office at work, and I just wanted to tell everyone my impressions:

    1. Red is not a good "lets all get along and avoid conflict" color. I anticipate much bloodier inter-office combat.

    2. Condensing 3 floors of busy executives onto 1 floor with smaller offices and no storage is very smart. Sales people, managers and other co-workers enjoy rubbing shoulders together (literally).

    3. Working people do not need printers and copiers to conduct their day to day affairs. It is VERY SMART to move the equipment into storage for a week while expecting your office employees to INCREASE productivity.

    4. And (the only thing that my company got right . . .) it REALLY IS SMART to face your employees towards the tanning area of a local health spa. During summer tanning times (10 am - 1 pm) no work really needs to get done! It might be helpful if employeers provided tanning oils and extended lunch breaks.

Just food for thought. Have a better Monday than me!

    /me gets back to unpacking . . . :(

    On a lighter note:

It takes awhile to load, but its ROTFL

I see you are roaming around here the same time I am, Mat... hope you're not as bored as I.

Right now I'm bemoaning the fact that I've essentially been relegated to the Whatnots forum alone, whereas I used to span three. I don't get as much time on as I used to, and the BG2 forum is hard to keep up with, especially for one who no longer plays. (My computer is currently in storage -- I haven't completely given up the faith, people). The D&D forum rarely moves, on the other hand. Ah well. At least this forum moves at my speed.

As I'm completely bored with nothing better to do, here are a few mind teasers :D :

    1) A man walks into a bar and asks the barman for a glass of water. The barman pulls out a gun and points it at the man. The man says 'Thank you' and walks out.

    2) A man pushed his car. He stopped when he reached a hotel at which point he knew he was bankrupt. Why?

3)Not far from Madrid, there is a large wooden barn. The barn is completely empty except for a dead man hanging from the middle of the central rafter. The rope around his neck is ten feet long and his feet are three feet off the ground. The nearest wall is 20 feet away from the man. It is not possible to climb up the walls or along the rafters. The man hanged himself. How did he do it?

Wildfire, sad person that I am, I have that book with those questions in and can remember all three answers. They are (SPOILERS AHEAD):

    1) the man asked for water in a bar so he obviously had hiccups. Pulling a gun out scared him and cured the hiccups. So he thanked the barman for curing the problem.

    2) He was playing monopoly and the hotel was owned by another player.

    3) Didn't you miss the information that tehre is a puddle of water. Anyway, the man had stood on a block of ice to reach the rope. The heat (he is in Spain) eventually melted the ice and so he hung.

If you think they are bad the rest of the book is much worse. many of the puzzles rely on making some very big assumptions. However, there are a few that are logically such as:

A man was heading towards the centre of a large field. He knew that when he reached the centre he would surely die. Despite this and no matter how much he tried, he knew that there was no point in trying to resist his fate. Why?

He had jumped out of a plane, but his parachute failed to open.

I didn't include the puddle of water because that would have made it too easy *evil grin*. :D

Here's two that have had me stumped for months (or years!)

    1. Did Adam & Eve have belly buttons (and "they didn't exist" isn't an appropriate response).

    2. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood?

    :D

    1. (They didn't exist) ;)

    2. A woodchuck could chuck as much wood as he would chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood. :D

As a physicist, I was going to say that the large field was the gravitational field of a black hole.
But that would be silly, so I won't say it.
