    OK, since I seem to have killed the game and I have to go away for a week I'll open the topic to the fastest IMBder.

    The two men are Peter Ustinov and David Niven and the film is an adaptation of an Agatha Christie book - set in Egypt.

    a girl ties up the most popular guy in school while he's practically naked and blindfolded and then leaves the room exposing him to ridicule from others.

    oops, sorry, forgot about this one :eek:

    okay, major hint time:

    1) it's a "chick flick" comedy type of movie

    2) to be more specific, it's prom night and the reason the guy allowed himself to get into such a predictament is because he was going to get laid.

    3) the girl decided to leave him and leave him open to ridicule when she found out (through questioning him) that all the lines he used to get her there were actually being fed to him by someone else

    4) the "someone else" is who she ends up with.

    Hmm, it's been some time so I'm not sure if that was exactly what the situation was.

    But iirc it was something like his friends didn't think he could get a good girl like her.

    okay, giveaway hint time: the guy (that is tied up) makes a deal with the girl's best friend in the beginning of the film. If the best friend helps him out with the girl, the guy will help him out with another girl.

    hmm, I see that this wasn't very popular.

    Okay, more giveaway hints then. If nobody gets it after this, I'll post another one.

    in addition to all the hints: the guy in the scene in question is James Franco and the girl is Marla Sokoloff. Afaik this is the only film they've done together so anyone that's seen it should get it.
