Surrogate, it's ok but not as good as I was expecting it to be.

Drag me to Hell. Was supposed to be a horror movie, but the pg-13 rating made sure it wasn`t scary at all.

PG-13 movies can still be scary, they just can't be torture-porn, which is unfortunately what the horror genre has degraded into.

I can't remember the last time I saw a decent horror movie.. I don't even bother with them anymore.

I thought the remake of Dawn of the dead was really good. The movie loses steam near the end, but the first 30 minutes are awesome!

    Never saw it.

Last movie I've seen-and I tend to see a few-was Waterlife as part of a local (Milwaukee) film festival.

It is basically an environmentalist warning to the rest of society that we may be poisoning ourselves (as well as major bodies of fresh water).

One of the very humorous parts of the movie involved a sort of festival where several people eventually boated downriver in order to catch leaping asian carp. While much of the movie makes one worried or concerned that part had people laughing out loud.

An excellent quote that led to this segment went something like "If I'd been sober I would've been knocked off the boat."

Watched Iron Man with some friends. It's good, not great but not bad either. From a non-comic reader perspective it was an entertaining if formulaic action movie. It would've been a far lesser movie if not for Robert Downey Jr, whose performance really carries the whole thing.

My mom, brother, and I watched "Feast" last night. If you've never seen this gem, you need to. It's pretty entertaining, funny, and downright gruesome. A great movie for Halloween.

Woman in the Dunes... a spectacular Japanese movie from the '60's... it is one of the first Japanese film to have nudity in it. It is very tense. I recommend it.

@Saber: good to see you keep enjoying classic Japanese movies! ;)

The long version? It's really good but the casting is over the top and Depardieu makes me laugh everytime I watch it... "Aye, aye my lord." :p

Ravenous - Guy Pierce and Robert Carlyle. Soldiers going cannibal on one another at a secluded fort in California, in the 1800's. I loved it! Don't let the kids see it though, kinds of gruesome, yet funny is some ways.

    Thumbs up!

I saw that movie a few years back! It was good. I thought it could have been better, that the filmakers where a little bit too much into slasher genre. But it was still good!

I have the soundtrack, and the music is so weird! In every videos I did (in my free time or at school) in the last 4 or 5 years have featured a clip from the soundtrack. It was like a running gag... :)

Watched Monsters vs. Aliens. It was cute, though not Dreamworks' best production. The idea of a 50 foot woman turned me on, though!

Oh man, I am a sucker for punishment. I began watching one liter of tears and its one hell of a depressing movie. Its even worse, knowing that it is based on a true story. Really makes you cry a liter of tears T_T

Watched Double Suicide for my Japanese film class... not as good as Woman in the Dunes, but I really liked a lot of aspects of it - the kuroku and bunraku-style of filming really alienate the viewer (which works in this movie) and does a Bergman-Persona type thing by constantly reminding you that it is a movie. Not as big of a fan of the story itself, but it was presented very well.

Didn't get why Osan's teeth were always black, though.
