OK, here it goes a little hint. Although the quoted game was released in 1999, a continuation of the saga didn't appear until very recently.

Since this thread seems to be pretty dead right now I'm going to shoot a guess which I know is wrong just to bump it up a bit. Pirates. ;)

I'll take a wild guess while I'm at it too... *glances around room* How about Legacy of Kain? Well, there's my guess.

Nope. This should give it away: the game takes place in two different ages, and most of the characters, including the main one, are (un)dead.

    Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption.

The Gangrel says it about... Luther? The 'holy martyr' figure anyway. It's been a while :)

But I did remember it without seeing the hints first. Remembered the voice anyway. He could have been a dwarf in another life.

Indeed, Erik the Gangrel says that about Luther Black, the Lasombra priest. How come barbarians and dwarfs speak with Scottish accent in most games?

    Rhetorical Question gets the prize.

Erik! That's it. Phew - at least you don't have to come up with the name of the speaker! Strange that I remembered Luther and not Erik....

This one could go very quickly, but it's a favourite quote:

"I shall kill you... with death!"

    Nope.

Not a LucasArts game. Not that there are many left to choose from...

    Not a point n' click.

    Edit: Too many hints...

    It's from Anachronox.

I know it because I currently saw someone mention that quote (in quite large letters) in a thread at another forum which I visit (Adventure Gamers).

Well done Jazhara7, Anachronox it is.

Freedom Force owes a lot to Rictus and his Krapton Komics crew!

    Okay, here is my quote:

"Open up, sir, I have to tell you something!"

(This is from a game which I really adore. More than that. I worship that game.)

Anachronox was one of the best games in a while. Great sense of humor, great story, interesting universe, good implementation of console style turn-based combat. It's a crime that it never got the sequal it deserved, or that the story demanded.

Sequel? Ha, it never even got finished! They thought they had to release the game at some stage, even with nearly half of the story/sets unimplemented... when people asked if they'd just cut the story, the devs said "If by cut, you mean postponed for a *definite* ( :( ) add-on or sequel then yes."

The Fatima story brought tears to my eyes. Still does - in fact it's worse now that he'll *Never* know thanks to Eidos.

    /me becomes melancholy.

I think this quote needs some hint to help us solve it. The quote in itself does not reveal much about from what kind of a game it is.
