The Fiasco of PoR:2

    After reading the above article, I sit here amazed, completely dumbfounded at the design stucture and process that went into PoR:2. I think it's a fascinating look at complete ineptitude in the design process. And what amazes me the most is how clueless Garrett Grahm is to the whys and hows of the games final state and the way it got there. What still perplexes me the most, even before reading the article, is why would they switch from a 2nd edition game to a 3rd edition game using a second edition game engine (and aparently a poor one at that). I know it was used as a selling poing (and a good one aparently), but come on. Look at the problems it caused in the translation. In the end, I think the gaming world would have been happier with a better same old second edition product that a spanking new yet fairly flawed third edition concept.

    Pool of Radiance doens't feel AD&D like when playing at all. It's just another low quality CRPG. Think we might are spoiled with Icewind Dale and the Baldur's Gate series.
