Holy moly. Old skool Metallica fans are in for a big treat.

    Set list was:
    Blackened (opener)
    Creeping Death
    Harvester of Sorrow
    Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
    For Whom the Bell Tolls
    Frantic
    Fade To Black
    Seek and Destroy
    St Anger
    1st Encore
    Battery
    Nothing Else Matters
    Master of Puppets
    2nd Encore
    One
    Enter Sandman (closing)

I was in the front row - and survived. Though just barely. Bit sore today.

    Other kickass performances:
    The Darkness
    Muse
    The Strokes
    Kings of Leon

    Over to you now, Baelzebub.

Front row, man I envy you! Getting there is going to be a *****. Did you manage to get anything to drink while you up there? That was the big problem last year at the BDO and at Livid. Anyway, from what time where you standing there man?

No, I didn't want anything to drink while up there because there was no way you were going to get out and get back in if you needed to visit the little boy's room. You should bring some water though, just don't drink it unless you really need it. I stayed for Muse, the Strokes and then Metallica came on, so a fair bit of waiting, but both bands were awesome. Very exhasting.

It was so insane. Me and my brother were towards the front for Blackened, but we bailed. We saw 2 girls screaming because they were stuck in the mosh, so we trailblazed for them and ended up at the edge. It was still good. We are both tall, so we could see it all without any problems.

They played the same set as in Aukland. I'm just hoping they play a different set for the concert tonight...

From what I read in the paper yedsterday, you missed one act on your list (though I don't know if he's performing at all BDO's) - Kamahl!!

    Man, he's gotta be a must-see.

Evidently, people will be selling his "Why are people so unkind?" shirts all over the place at the BDO as well.

I didn't see any unkind people shirts, so I guess it must have been a rather out of the way event...

Saw Metallica again last night. Their set was similar to that of the BDO, but not the same.

    The Four Horsemen
    Ride The Lightening
    Insane Solo AlA Kirk Hammet
    Damage Inc.
    Frantic
    Harvester Of Sorrow
    Dirty Windows

    1st Encore
    One
    Battery
    Seek and Destroy
    Insane Solo AlA Kirk Hammet
    Creeping Death
    Nothing Else Matters

    2nd Encore

I'm surprised you made it back in one piece, Baezlebub, after *two* Metallica concerts, and especially after that set you just posted. Very impressive.
