Task force remake?

    I just stumbled upon this when searching for information on something related to the Navy.

    I can't find much info on it, is it a remake or successor to this old game from my childhood?

    Similar to the Bard's Tale game was supposed to be a successor to the Bard's Tale trilogy 15 years ago, but didn't make the cut (yes, I know IV is out now). Although like the Starship Troopers movie might have been a decent B-movie if they hadn't tried to cash in on Heinlein's book, if they hadn't tried to cash in on the Bard's Tale name/franchise it might have been considered a good action/RPG.

    P.S. If you do try to play the original, I strongly suggest tracking down the cheat that doubles your health. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find it, I know I had it on a real IIGS before I had internet access, so it might have been published in a magazine like InCider/A+ or part of a "cheats" put out by Software of the Month Club. It's been too long. I'm pretty sure GameHacker just gave you infinite health, but it might have been GameHacker that gave you a choice. I haven't played Task Force in at least 20 years.

    IIRC you needed a joystick, or maybe it was just easier with a joystick. I didn't think the web emulator supported joysticks.
    I haven't played Task Force since the early 2000's, and I never won without using GameHacker to cheat. Although I think there was also a patch to increase your health instead, and maybe I won with the one that doubles your health.
