    Its credit card, loans, insurence and adverts that want you to pay toward your own funeral for 50 years. Is it worse in the UK or do they infect the whole world with their insipid lies?

    Akkk...those rising-crust pizza ads where the people get a "sun-tanned" streak across their eyes area from watching their pizzas rise in the ovens. Geesh...how stupid is that. Is there anyone in the world who's life is boring enough to watch bad pre-made processed food cook?

    You are so right, Dragonfly. Watching food being cooked can't even compare with the thrill of watching the washing machine spinning at full throttle... :D

    I can't stand condom adds. There is nothing idyllic or romatic about using condoms. If anything, they kill the mood... unless they are coloured and glow in the dark, that is.

    Some of the side effects they rattle off in all the medicinal commercials -- oh my god. Just kill me before I ever need to take any of those medicines. Heaven help you if you watch TV while eating.

    The serious adds about viagra and similar products during sporting events would be annoying if I didn't find the irony amusing.

    Some condom adds are quite funny.

    Finally I remember the commercial that really erks me. Nabob coffee has a commercial where a bride-to-be is drinking a cup of coffee. Her brides maids come in with her wedding dress and she accidently spills the coffee on the dress. Everyone screams and frets and then they tilt the box and pour the coffee back into the cup. The last shot is of the bride and groom together. The bride has a huge coffee stain in the middle of her dress but appears very happy.

    cup of coffee = .65
    wedding dress = $5000 (for an economical one)

    Doesn't she care that she is making her new husband look like an idiot for marrying such a freak?Translation - You have to be brain dead and have brain dead friends to truely enjoy a cup of nabob coffee.

    The most annoying adverts on any Tv station worldwide are not in any particular order:

    1. Banks
    2. Car Insurance
    3. Debt relief or consolidation
    4. Personal loans
    5. Personal accident claims
    6. Ads made in another country with a new soundtrack on

    As Darkstriders general comments + any car adverts + those 3-mobile adverts.

    My particular bugbear at the moment is the recycled disney one from a year or two back with the little girl saying "it's just mmmmmagic"

    ASDA's (now owned by Walmart) recent fayre with Sharon Osbourne is also hideous.

    I love Captain Birds Eye. I love his bushy white beard, twinkly black coal eyes and his tireless, swashbuckling dedication to keeping his unique fish finger recipe hush hush. That's why I hate the new add where a frowning Captain Birds Eye embarks on a pious moan about E numbers. There's no sea-shanty backing track, no vast silver platters of fish fingers, no exploding cannons, no screeching kids; just harsh facts from the big man. What have they done to Captain Birds Eye? And where's his bloody ship? Why's he so unhappy? Why's he not chasing pirates? Make it stop. :(
