I've got a soundset for Lina Inverse I found a while ago. Last time, I merely named my sorceress Lina and picked spells for my normal playstyle. I'd like to try something different.
I'd like to try picking spells based off the series and see how well that works. Not everything translates well, and there are indeed some essential spells, so I'd like some opinions on what the best choices to pick if I wanted to RP as Lina.

It's a given that I'll take Fireball and Flame arrow, even though I never pick Fireball for a sorcerer due to the number of rechargable Wands of Fireballs. Lina is clearly an invoker/evoker (or sorcerer equivalent).

Anyways, what else should I pick to play Lina? I feel that even though she doesn't use anything like that, I need to take Stoneskin, malison, and breach, as well as possibly either lower resistance or pierce shield. I'm not committed to anything but fireball and flame arrow (closest thing to flare arrow) however.

Please also include the order I should pick the spells, since I'll be starting in Ironicus's dungeon.

Lina will be supported by a swordsman with int as his dump state (Gourry Gabriev), a naive and easily manipulated or misled Champion of Justice (haven't decided on Cavalier or just plain Paladin, too bad I can't make a paladin/monk/cleric mix for Amelia), a scimitar-wielding fighter/druid immune to normal weapons (Zelgadis), and possibly a Cleric specializing in defensive and healing magics (Sylphiel).
I'm also giving serious consideration to modifying my 2DA file to permit Lina to carry a short sword.

Just look at some list and compare with spells originally cast by her- and find some common ground
    http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/SpellsReference/Main.htm

Also if you want something and it becomes more powerful with levels... take it coz, scrolls cast spells at 10th caster level

If not there is a neat tweak that casts scrolls at caster level, i can link you if needed :p

Powergaming is also roleplaying- let her learn some new spells too, that would sorceress that is given whole new set of magic would do and probably she would start with those that come in handy the most

And Imo let her carry the sword, weapon restrictions for mages are idiotic anyway(dunno what for they are if mages can put only one star at anything anyways..)
