Actually, ToEE sold quite well. It didn't appeal to the BG fans, but it's had (and still has) a relatively fanatical fan following, coming mostly from the fans of other Troika and turn-based CRPG titles and the Fallout crowd.

I am torn on ToEE. I liked it but it sucked how talking skills hardly mattered and how unbalanced combat could prove later in the game for a party that had been pwning so far - like mine. I didn't finish it. I might, now with a better computer and shorter times between rounds, because I sort of liked it. The interface was playable and this is a lot coming from me. ;) I strongly recommend KotOR 1 and 2 to everyone. Even if you hate NWN2, you may still like KotOR2, but do yourself a favour and play 1 first.

Fallout is more of a predecessor, but do play it if you haven't yet. Dungeon Siege is nice, no matter what they say, though you don't want to spend your last money on it. DS2 I don't know, but brother says it's good. Spellforce is supposed to be good as well. Arcanum is well-loved, but I don't like it personally. Morrowind is a great game and I recommend it.

I'm not sure, but fantasy/RPG fans might like Crusader Kings from Paradox. It's a less well known strategy game that simulates a mediaeval dynasty. Monarchs and their relatives and offspring, as well as courtiers and vassals come with stats and traits that matter. There's some economy and diplomacy to do apart from crusading and war.

As for me, I think I'll try and play BG2 in the hardware mode for once. The last time I played it, I still had a Celeron 800 with a TNT2 card. Might be a new visual experience.
