[IMG] What is the strategy that works best for you when defeating Sarevok and his thugs?

What I use (and I know it's not very "hardcore") is I casts summon monster time and time again while pelting him with missiles until he drops.

That was the strategy i used the first time through too, but now I lure his goones out first (killing them shouldn't be a problem)

Then use a character with the free action ring to lure saravok (ring to avoid web spell)
There could be some battle horrors too but I got those 50% of the time (whats up with that?)

Cast haste and all the defensive spells you got and in front of the symbol and pound the him down till he drops.

If you have +2 weapons it shouldn't be a problem

That's how i get him nowadays I probably should mention this is after you played TOTSC too then you should be two levels higher!

if you install totsc, sarevok will be stronger as well, so that you have to complete the missions first in order to challenge him.

[IMG] Make Sarevok attack one of your characters, and then cast Osiluke's Resilent Sphere on that character. Then kill Sarevok :p .

Is Sarevok stronger in TOTSC? Didn't now that, I had more trouble with that demon in the end of TOTSC then Sarevolk in the end BG + TOTSC,
    He is totally easy

If I remember correctly, when I had a party of all thieves, one was dual classed as a mage, lured all his thugs out and took them out of the battle. Then I beefed up one of my thieves with potions of speed and stregnth and all that good stuff, hid in the shadows. I put my thief/mage in a globe of invulnerability and disracted Sarevok. The hiding thief took the long way around, still in shadows and backstabbed him. I had some other theives with slings pelting him so when he got backstabbed, he dropped like a rock! THough I have to admit, it took me a couple times to get it down. If you have a thief in your party, try the backstab!
I also had a party of rangers one time, so I just hung back and picked everyone off!

[IMG] Well, I beat him. First I took care of Samje. He was easy beacuse I had cast Minor Globe of Invulrability on myself. Took him down, went for Tazok. After all that, I walked up and Backstabbed Sarevok with 20ST(magic) and got a decent 58. I became visible, but ran away to the dark before they could get me. I hid in shadows once more, then walked up and took him down with a backstab of 101!!! He dropped and I won :p My first solo game ever, won valiently and with skill

I virtually had an army, which didn't last particually long. They were usualy fried corpses on the ground from those bloody arrows of detonation. Eventually I lure Sarevok out by himself and completly surrounded him in monsters. Watching his body fall was great, I didin't even have to go anywhere near him to kill him. :D

Also, another good thing to know, is that if you've got a Paladin(or Cleric) in your party, you can cast Protection from Evil on one or two people, until you reach -23AC(multiple casts are cumulitave). After that, you can engage in melee with Sarevok. That should be very easy if you can get one character working one Sarevok, then have all the other slaughtering his goonies ;)

In fact you don't need to kill Semai, Tazok and Angelo.
I backtabbed Sarevok and (when visible) ran back to the group.
Then I pulled out a wand of monster summoning and summoned A LOT of monsters and skeletons (animate dead) to surround Sarevok and cast offensive spells with Edwin...the others was a little bit by side and...watch how the monsters killed Sarevok :D
