Okay, I was wondering if there was a boomerang throwing dagger in this game or if I'm totally bonkers. I think I'm dyslexing the one from BG2 into my BG1 game. I have no mods that add weapons, Tiamora's EoU mod is all (I need the highly stackable arrows!).

i fear there is no such thing as a returning weapon in bg & tosc. the throwing axe + 2 from the catacombs under candlekeep in chapter 6 is the only exception from that rule iirc.

yup about the returning axe beeing the only one.

Also agree about the EoU mod and stacable arrows is a must. but with that you should not really need a returning dagger really :p your not ... cheating! are you ? ;)

I have Xzar as my mage and he's only proficient in small swords (daggers). I stuck him with a sling since I have no money for resurrection! Why is it the nutty ones always go melee?

If I really wanted to cheat, I'd have included the Bag o' Holding that doesn't work properly!

I knew about the ax, but my memory's so bad I can't be sure of anything anymore. :geezer:

Just buy a lot of throwing daggers. Thankfully BG doesn't implement the 2lbs./dagger that you're supposed to have, so you can even stack Immy up to 500 with no encumbrance. If you don't have the money for throwing daggers, just explore around the High Hedge area with some blunt weapons. IIRC, the skels with shields have a bunch of throwing daggers, and the skels without shields have darts.

(A little trick is to sell the daggers back to the merchants one by one. You'll get 1 gold apiece for them - instead of 1 gold per 5 daggers - and then you can buy them back at a lower price if you've got good enough Rep and Cha. Instant extra money or extra daggers. :D )

You do indeed recall correctly, Felinoid.

Go to High Hedge and wander around a bit. Heck, rest a lot in the area and you'll be awakened by groups of dagger throwing skeletons. They're easy to kill and you can easily gather enough daggers to last one of your mages through the whole game.

Xan had about 500 throwing daggers after we left this area and he's still got some left though we're very nearly done with the game. They're good for druids too.
