SPFix vs BaldurdashFix

    [​IMG] I thought the fix you get off Baldurdash's site is the newer and more up-to-date of the two.
    Going through the files however, I found that that readme for BG2FixPack361.exe is dated June-2001.
    While Extrimist's SPfixpack.zip is dated June-2002.
    So I guess that I should install the later. Could someone tell me if any of the major mods will be affected by either of these fixes.

    Also my installation progression is as under. Is this corect?

    [​IMG] Extremist's fixpack is retroactive (meaning you can install it in the middle of the game and it will fix things), whereas Baldurdash's fixes mostly have to be applied before you encounter an issue to fix it. I don't know if Baldurdash has caught up with the SP fixpack for SoA yet, but at the time Ex made it, the SP fixpack had many fixes Baldurdash didn't. Also, the SP fixpack should be compatible with all mods.

    Where Baldurdash and the SP Fixpack cover the same bug, I've found Extremist's solution to generally be equal or a bit better than Baldurdash's. As Tal mentioned, it also snags some bugs that BD misses. That being said, I always use Baldurdash since I have the expansion-which-shall-not-be-named and the SP Fixpack is SoA-only.
