Indeed a very good sword. The powerful creature is btw a shade lich. Attack the lich and go away after he casts the timestop and some annoying spells (gate) come back after a few minuts and attack him again. WIth this tactic I had a very powerful sword at lvl 8.

When I fought the Lich, he followed me back upstairs. The good news is that it was after he had cast Timestop. Also, he didn't cast that damned Summon Pit Fiend spell when you followed me up. once you remove his spell protections he's not as tough as you'd think.

true, SpawN. Anyway, I think that running away cost´s you some 10.000 xp for the f***ing deamon - COWARDS! :D You don´t need that sword that early, at lvl-8.

Ever considered you´re a bit too ambitious? There´s a reason when you`re beaten up when facing strong enemies at low level. No reason to exploit stupid monster AI that way ... ;) IMHO However - play BG-2 as you like it
