Forget Kermit, have you heard the Johnny Cash version? Apparently not since I quoted that one, and not the NIN version :p Subtle difference in the lyrics, major difference in which I like best.

But I'm not going to nitpick about it, since they did the original. You're up Shadow Assassin.

Given all he had been through in his life, hearing those lyrics with Cash's old, frail voice somehow gave the song a deeper meaning.

Time is up buddy, I'm taking it back.

Six foot six he stood on the ground, he weighted 235 pounds
But I saw that giant of a man brought down to his knees by love

 An old favourite (of mine)

she didn't know how to live in a town that was rough
it didn't take long before she knew she had enough
walking home in her wrapped up world
she survived but she's feeling old
and she found all things cold

Many people tell you that they're your friend
You believe them, You need them
For what's round the river bend
Make sure that you're receiving the signals they send
'Cause brother you've only got two hands to lend

I'm happy I went and looked up The Stranglers after DarkStrider informed me that that was covered by Tori Amos.

that'd be Skin Deep by afore mentioned group

Well, if you want someone else to go, try this one...

    Everbody is coming,
be sure to bring your friends,
its gonna be a good time,
    blow your head wide open.

Id like the artist whose cd it is recorded on and who he performed it with on the cd.

Time for a bit of hintage mayhaps?

The singer/guitarist of this song generally does not play your standard type of guitar.

Well, Im guessing we need some more hintage action. The not so standard guitar that he plays is called a pedal steel slide guitar. How many rock/soul bands are there out there that would use that? Im guessing not many :p
