    I have never crossed swords with a social worker, and I hope I never do. From many of the stories I have heard, they can be remarkably insensitive. On the flip side, though, when you are a little kid and some dork in a suit comes to your house and says you can't live with your parents anymore, of course you're not likely to lay much blame on your parents, but rather on the person who you perceive to be the one breaking up your family. Tough to expect objectivity in those cases, even after years have passed and the child is now an adult -- they may know intellectually that the social worker saved them from a dangerous situation, but emotionally they don't internalize that.

    Coin, it is nice to hear of a favorable outcome for you. Also nice to know you actually have a understanding management team above you. Not all of us are that lucky in on professions. If you decide to stick it out, I wish you the best, it takes a MAN to do that. :)

    I've never had to deal with a bad social worker.

    But bad psychiatrists then again...

    There's two primary flavors of bad psychiatrist.
    First type just doesn't care. Simple enough.
    Second type is convinced that he/she knows better than you and is superior to you.

    I had a particularly bad case of the latter kind - so after some objectionable actions on her part I called her an unprofessional sociopath and switched doctors.

    ... it had repercussions though, but because I'm currently investigating legal action, I'm not going to reveal those.

    [​IMG] I promised my boss I wouldn't contact anyone in the building, which suits me fine; who knows what nasty allegations that guy will bring up next? They could report me to the police for drinking milk out of the fridge! [it's allowed]

    But I'm not too happy about enduring an official complaint on my permanent record, all because of that guy:mad:. So I'm thinking about trying to get it retracted. I'll have a chat with a supervisor at work on thursday. I really hope that I can get it done within the office; bringing in my union would be messier.

    Taza, I sympathise with your plight, after being the target of this social worker. Sometimes clients/patients complain about social workers, and I have always known that some of these stories may be true. The problem is, if you're put under care in a home like this, your integrity is in question. So who knows what the truth is? It just goes to show what kind of creeps operate in all the confusion.:(
