    Same here. It just disturbs me that I can't tell her that her mother is dead, or somehow take care of her. What makes it worse is that her name is in yellow, so it seems like I should be able to interact with her.

    I have to agree with Snook here - I wish there was some way, when playing a human noble, that you could interact with her, or someone in regards to her, to help her out since she's now lost not just her father, but her mother as well. Not to mention, since virtually everyone was lost at Highever, would Bann Loren even think of sending a message to the Alienage where his wife's lady-in-waiting's daughter resided? Especially since I'm sure he's grieving over the loss of his wife and son. I'm sure that those in the Denerim Alienage have no idea that Amethyne's mother has lost her life.

    Well, I just finished the game. As a grade, I have to give it an A as I throughly enjoyed myself and the story. When my Grey Warden sliced the arch demon's head I actually got a chill.

    I didn't think the final battle was that difficult, but it was fun. I may go back to an earlier save as I didn't use my "army" that much and I would like to see what they all do. I especially liked when you get to use your other companions at the gate. I thought it was a nice touch.

    How many days to father's day? I'm pretty sure Teen Snook is getting me Awakenings.

    I believe Father's Day is June 20th.

    I think you'll enjoy Awakening. Not sure what class you were playing, but I do know that for rogues at least (sure it's the same for warriors and mages), some of the extra skills are just out of this world and fun to play with. You will find some differences in style between Origins and Awakening - most noticeably is how you interact with your party members. I had a blast with it, though, and think you will too :)

    As expected I got Awakening for Father's Day. I have a quick question about installation. Should I upgrade to 1.3 before or after I install Awakening? Does it matter?

    Now, I have to decide if I'm keeping the same character or starting a new one. :)

    Since you need patch 1.03 to play Awakening you should install it first.

    Get Qwinn's Unofficial DA:O Fixpack to correct issues in Origins (patch 1.03 messes some things up and doesn't correct many bugs).
