Should I start with this or Baldur's Gate 1?

Hi I'm new to the site, and was wondering if I should start with Baldurs gate: Throne of Bhaal or start from the beginning. I'm currently playing through Inquisitor, but once I'm done I'll move onto whatever choice you guys think is best. :)

Take some time to install mods, and you can play BG1-->SoA-->ToB all the way through, with extra quests and NPCs available too.

The Baldur's Gate games are not Star Wars movies (I think... I actually haven't seen Star Wars). Many NPC's make a comeback. You have a better feel of the story line (which is quite awesome...). You remember some monsters that used to be tough. Alls stuff like that. I'm quite sure you'll have more fun when you start at the beginning .

Welcome to the BoM, btw!

Okay thanks! Once I'm all done with inquisitor, I'll move onto Baldurs Gate 1 :)

Thank you for the welcome! :D I'm excited to be part of this forum, I'm hoping to get more into these grand RPGs, and I figured I'd surround myself with people with the same intentions.

So I shouldn't get BG: EE?

Welcome onboard. I am still new to mods. After 10 years absence its really very daunting what to mod and how to do it :)

The priiceless aspects of the BG series was the story line, the mood and the characters.
You should definately do the series from the beginning. Its a grand tale :)

When I get home from vacation in 3 weeks I'll definately search for a thread sort of like
"moddin for beginners" that has a dished out recipe of when and what to mod when you venture forth in BG's universe.

Since you're starting new, yes, you might as well get BG:EE for the enhancements it offers. By now they've at least fixed most of the new bugs they introduced...

And BG2EE comes out in November. Youwill be able to play straight through anyway if you play the EE versions. Mods are free though.. so it's up to you.
