I've heard they're romantic NPCes, but I'm not sure if in the basic NWN campaign or in the expansions. I know about Linu's husband being found dead and Linu talking about something more than friendship. But how about Sharwyn and her beloved?

I found that Linu is a pain in the ass myself. She loudly rushed in when my rogue would like to sneak up and back-stab the poor bastard...

Edit: That said, I've heard that there are Zombies in the next section. Maybe she'll be more helpful...

In the original campaign (mind you i had both expansions installed at the time) there are hints of a possible romance with Sharwyn once you complete her quests although nothing terribly specific and alas it's not continued in the expansions.

I only played the OC (which turned me off of NWN), and found the NPC interactions/romances in general anything but convincing. I completed all of the (often lame) quests for all of the NPCs (including things like finding objects in random houses), and all of the NPCs acted like I was their best friend and constant companion, even through I did all the serious adventuring with Linu, who was by far the most useful companion for my dex-based monk.

IIRC, if you say the right things and complete all her quests, Linu will basically say she's interested in your PC, and will pursue a relationship after all the bad guys are taken care of. Sharwyn shot my PC down, tho I'm not sure whether my PC didn't fill certain requirements, like a minimum CHA or a timer to how long you actually adventured with her, or whether the romance was simply not an option. I'd guess there wasn't a timer, and I'm pretty sure nothing you do with one NPC has any bearing on the dialogue options of another.

Yes, Linu did help against the undead, but maybe I'll try Mr. Undergallows when I go after the thieves. or maybe the monk guy...
